TOEFL iBT® è la certificazione di inglese accademico utile per continuare gli studi universitari in Italia o all’estero, è importante per ottenere un visto di lavoro fuori dall’Italia, permette di dare un valore aggiunto al proprio CV.
Ne parleremo all’IRSE, con due esperte di ETS Global Italia per scoprire come tale certificazione di lingua inglese possa aprire le porte del mondo agli studenti e diventare un’opportunità unica per gli insegnanti e per tutti gli interessati.
SPEAKERS:
Marta Zaninelli, ELT Coordinator presso ETS Global Italia. Lavora con insegnanti di lingua inglese in Italia e in Europa. Ha conseguito un Dottorato di Ricerca in Scienze Linguistiche Letterarie e ha insegnato Advanced Business English all'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano.
Nicole Carvelli, Client Relations Manager presso ETS Global Italia, dove si occupa delle relazioni con le Università e il mondo Higher Education. Dopo la Laurea Magistrale in Lingue per la Comunicazione e Cooperazione Internazionale, conseguita tra l’Italia e la Cina, Nicole ha sempre lavorato nel campo dell’educazione linguistica.

All languages are constantly evolving and changing in line with society and cultures, and with new ideas, concepts, and technological advancements. In this workshop for learners of English, we will have fun looking at vocabulary, focussing on ‘real’ English; the every-day English used by speakers around the world. We will also look at how culture and history still impact the words we use today. This session is an interactive one, so come prepared to speak to your friends and share ideas about the topics we will be discussing!

Creativity is a key 21st Century skill but why help our teenage learners develop creative thinking in the second language classroom? In this workshop, we will look at how opportunities to foster creativity not only help our learners acquire soft skills but also enable them to use English in a meaningful way and develop their language skills. We will focus on reasons for setting creative tasks in the EFL classroom and provide teaching tips and lesson ideas which you can use with your teenage learners.

Research shows that there is a global decline in young people’s wellbeing, and that worry, and anxiety can hinder learning. In this workshop, we will look at how language activities which promote wellbeing and positivity can 1) Create a nurturing and supportive environment which is vital for language learning and 2) Develop learners’ language skills as English is used in a meaningful way.
We will focus on reasons for setting wellbeing tasks in the EFL classroom and provide lesson ideas which you can use with your students. These ideas can help improve teachers’ wellbeing too!
