Kevan Manwaring is a writer, teacher and storyteller who lives in Bath. Holder of a MA in the Teaching and Practice in Creative Writing from Cardiff University, he teaches creative writing for the Open University and Skyros Writers Lab. He also runs freelance courses in storytelling and various aspects of the writing process to a wide variety of students. As a professional storyteller he has appeared in numerous shows both solo and with Fire Springs, both in Britain and abroad (USA, Italy and Malta). He is the author of The Bardic Handbook, Lost Islands, the ongoing Windsmith books, and his poems and articles have appeared in several magazines and anthologies. In 1998 he won the Bardic Chair in his adopted city. He co-runs the Bath Writers' Workshop and is the founder of Awen Publications. In 2010 he was a Writer-in-Residence at El Gouna, a resort on the Red Sea, Egypt.
Russell Stannard is a principal teaching fellow at the University of Warwick. He works in the Centre for Applied Linguistics. Russell is a specialist in the use of media and technology in ELT and he has won several big awards for his website www.teachertrainingvideos.com.
In 2008 he was awarded the University of Westminster "Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award". In 2008 he also won the highly prestigious Times Higher "Outstanding Initiative in ICT Award" beating Oxford University in the process. In 2009 he won TEFLnet "Website of the year". In 2010 he won the British Council "ELTons award for Innovation". He has a regular column in the English Teaching Professional called Webwatcher where he writes about technology and language teaching. He has worked on many books and publications including Wavelength, Inside Out, Headway, Hello English and New Standard English. He has also worked on many CD ROMs and Websites for English Language Teaching.
