Are you between 20 and 35 years old and a resident of a European Country? Apply to CuriosiFVG 2025, an International experience of sustainable tourism in the Italian Region Friuli Venezia Giulia!

CURIOSIFVG 2025, an international experience of sustainable tourism in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
20 selected participants will be involved in a 14-day programme – from June 16 to June 29, 2025 – to discover art, history, cities and small villages, nature, food and wine, concerts and cultural events, as well as to join training workshops with experts in tourism communication.
Moreover CuriosiFVG 2025 will be a unique opportunity to connect with peers from different countries and discuss the challenges and the future of Europe.
All activities will be held in English.
THE INITIATIVE IS COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE FOR PARTICIPANTS. All expenses - except travel expenses - will be covered entirely by the host organization IRSE, with the support of Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Government.

CURIOSIFVG 2025 PROGRAMME

Participants arrival in Pordenone (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy) and check-in to the hotel.
From the 17th to the 28th of June 2025
Guided tours, experiences, meetings and workshops.
Sunday, 29th June 2025
Participants check-out and departure from Pordenone.
A 14-DAY PROGRAMME, from the 16th to the 29th of June 2025:
TO DISCOVER cities and villages of artistic and historical interest, local food and wine, traditions and craftshops, nature and wildlife, cultural events, festivals and concerts always with an eye toward sustainable and slow tourism experiences.
TO LEARN from communication experts and professors how to share travel experiences through web and social media as a real professional. Advanced training labs and workshops that will give the tools to boost travel writing and social media skills, photography and video editing skills, as well as skills in sustainable tourism design.
TO PRACTICE the professional role of digital creator and storyteller of a sustainable tourism experience, sharing it in social media and blogs, as a way to promote the beauties of Friuli Venezia Giulia in the participants’ Countries and among their friends all over Europe.
! Participants will be expected to create daily posts, reels and stories about their tours and experiences.
! All activities will be held IN ENGLISH, also as an occasion for language training and intercultural exchange.
! The programme is to be followed in its entirety with activities taking place every day, including Saturdays and Sundays.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
CuriosiFVG 2025 is addressed to students, recent graduates, or professionals between 20 and 35 years old, who:
- are involved / engaged / employed / or simply interested in the fields of sustainable tourism, travel, digital communication and marketing, international trade and cultural exchanges.
- were born and live in one of the 27 Countries of the European Union (Italy excluded) or in the United Kingdom
- have never been to Friuli Venezia Giulia before
- have a good English language level (at least B2/C1)
- have good social media skills
HOST ORGANIZATION
The Regional Institute for European Studies (IRSE) is a non profit Cultural Organization (legal entity), with its seat in Pordenone (Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy). It offers since 1972 a variety of courses, seminars and workshops to promote European culture and active citizenship, especially among young people. IRSE initiatives cover the following fields: Language and Intercultural learning, European history and politics, Economic culture, Science and Society. The Institute also organizes international workshops and cultural exchanges for young European citizens, students, professionals or volunteers, on the issue of sustainable tourism management. Moreover, exchanges of European young people and experiences abroad are widely promoted and organised by “ScopriEuropa” – IRSE Information Office.
The Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government has been supporting IRSE since 1972, for its dedication in promoting European values, life long learning education and young people's professional growth. The Institute has teaching rooms with the latest technological equipment, WI-FI areas, reading areas, an auditorium, a self-service canteen, a library and a video library, an art gallery and a coffee shop, free bikes to travel around the city.
EXPENSES
CURIOSIFVG 2025 INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE, IS FOR FREE, if you apply by April the 15th.
All expenses – except travel expenses from the participants' Countries to Pordenone (Italy) and back - will be covered entirely by the host organization IRSE (The Regional Institute for European Studies of Friuli Venezia Giulia) with the support of Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Government and consist of:
- board and lodging in Pordenone (Hotel accomodation)
- daily trips and transports, guided tours and experiences
- food and wine tastings
- tickets for museums, concerts and cultural events
- training labs/workshops
! Candidates who apply later than April the 15th, can be asked a participation fee of 200,00 euros.

If you travel by plane: Venice (Treviso or Marco Polo) airport.

HEALTH ASSISTANCE AND VISA
Health assistance: all participants must be in possession of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), or a similar health insurance policy.
Visa regulations: if requested for their countries, selected participant must apply to the Consular Italian Authority for a Visa. IRSE will provide necessary documentation upon request.
DEADLINE AND ACCEPTANCE
Deadline to apply is Tuesday, 15th of April 2025.
A group of 20 participants will be carefully selected on the basis of their motivation and cv.
Acceptance will be notified to candidates before the 29th of April 2025.
