ENG - VIDEOCINEMA&SCUOLA 2023/2024

INTERNATIONAL “MULTIMEDIALITY AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES” COMPETITION

We invite students from any type of school to present their own work(s), created during the school years: 2022/2023 - 2023/2024, using the various multimedia languages and lasting no longer than 10 minutes. A synopsis of the Project (max. 2000 characters containing an indication of the communicative aim) will represent an integral part to be considered in the final assessment.

Euro 500,00 for a video created by Secondary School students (aged 11 – 14)

PRIZE TO BE AWARDED BY PORDENONE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL
Euro 500,00 for a video created by a Nursery and/or Primary School

PRIZE TO BE AWARDED BY THE FVG REGION
Euro 500,00 for a video promoting an area/territory in order to discover its cultural, anthropological and linguistic characteristics.

PRIZE TO BE AWARDED BY FONDAZIONE FRIULI
Euro 500,00 for a video that combines expressiveness, acting and storytelling with humour.

PRIZE TO BE AWARDED BY CRÉDIT AGRICOLE
Euro 500,00 for a work which highlights the special attention given to the “photography” in the shooting.

PRIZE TO BE AWARDED BY ARMO1191 - ARnicaMOntana1191
Euro 200,00 for a video promoting environment, social and economic sustainability in all its forms.

OTHER PRIZES OF Euro 300, 200, 100
The Judges will also award prizes for other works based freely on any theme.

THE PRIZE MONEY WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE WINNERS IN PERSON ON THE MORNING OF THE PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY, AT WHICH THEY MUST BE PRESENT

Instructions for Entering the Competition Entering the competition is free of charge. To enrol, it is necessary to fill in all parts of the application form. Together with the application form, the complete version and/or storyboard is required. The application form, the synopsis and a copy of the file in .mp4 format must be sent by email or WeTransfer to: cicp@centroculturapordenone.it by Friday 8 March 2024, no later than 7.00 p.m. with the Subject: “Iscrizione Concorso Videocinema&Scuola – Title of the work”.
The Festival Management Committee will communicate the results of the selection on Friday 22 March 2024 to the address indicated by the enrolled competitors. The prizes will be awarded to the winners in person on Sunday 14 April 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Auditorium at the cultural center Casa dello Studente Antonio Zanussi Pordenone (Via Concordia, 7 – Pordenone).

Competition Selection Board The Sponsoring Bodies will appoint a Selection Board made up of experts in didactics and in multimedia languages. The videos will be assessed on the basis of didactic planning, audiovisual effectiveness and synthesis skills.

Copy and Distribution Rights The material sent in will be filed by the Festival organisers and will be included in the multimedia library of the Casa dello Studente Antonio Zanussi Pordenone cultural centre.

We are working on the Acchiappasguardi project for the coming school year 2023 – 2024.
Teachers, stay tuned to find out about our training proposal! There will be slots for film and audiovisual language literacy and also for developing new ideas for making short films, fiction works, documentaries and stop motion animation.
The Centro Iniziative Culturali Pordenone will support the best ideas with free workshops to be held at school as of 2024. The brochure containing the full education proposal, which includes also the possibility to access teacher training, will be available online on: www.centroculturapordenone.it/cicp as of autumn 2023.
